The Norwegian Elkhound is a hunting dog and is still used for hunting Elg (Moose) in his native home of Norway, but if you don't hunt there are many things you can do with your Elkhound apart from the daily fun things at home and on your walks.

Being a Therapy dog visiting the elderly, sick and infirmed, is very rewarding, the dogs love it and are so gentle and these people really do benefit from seeing your dog.
